LES MONTS RÊVENT
During 2 years, Dreams’BOX has written its first official chapter : Les Monts Rêvent, in the French rural region, Les Monts du Lyonnais, where traditional agriculture meets with neo-rural practices, and migration.
Les Monts Rêvent invites the inhabitants of the Monts du Lyonnais to come together around the question: what would the world look like if we all dreamed together?
The dreams collected during workshops, meetings and online are presented in advance of the screening in partner cinemas as well as an immersive live cinema at the St Clément-les-Places theater.
The Workshops
We offer tailor-made workshops based on the participating audiences. Participants are invited to :
express a hope that is close to their heart
learn the fundamentals of storytelling by telling the story of their dream
illustrate their dreams in the form of videos through a choice of images and/or drawings
We worked with :
children in primary school
high school students
up-coming farmers
students in sales
up-coming nurses
people suffering from mental disorders
young asylum seekers
At the Maison du Numérique, participants were able to experiment with the green screen and become familiar with the different positions in a film shoot (director, camera, sound, video mixing, actors).
The interviews
We invited people who couldn’t do workshops, to take part to the project by giving us 30 minutes of their time for a filmed conversation, where we spoke about their dreams as kids, their life today, and what they hope for the future on a personal and on a collective level.

before the screening in the cinemas partners of the project : Cinéma Paradiso, Cinéma Le Foyer and Cinéma Itinérant
woven together during the live cinema performance where the participants have the opportunity to meet other dreamers.
DREAMS’ CHANEL :
As so many people participate by sharing their intimate dreams, speaking about their hopes (or lack hopes) for the future, it seemed very important to us to start creating an online archive of these gifts. Here is a sample of them, that have been played before the features in the cinemas partners of the project between May and September 2024.
